Portable Toilet Fire
Layby A30 Near Summercourt Turning at 19/06/2011 01:00
The Fire Service received a call to a porta loo on fire in a lay-by on the A30 between the turning for Summercourt and Highgate hill heading eastbound.
One appliance from Newquay was mobilised and on arrival found one portable toilet on fire.
The crews extinguished the fire using a hosereel and weaning two breathing apparatus. The crew believed the fire to be arson and this was reported to the police for further investigation.
