Two fire appliances from Truro and the rescue tender from Camborne are in attendance at a road traffic collision with a person trapped.

Firefighters are using crash rescue equipment to release the casualty, who is trapped in a car. A heavy goods vehicle is also involved and a crane is being used to remove the load to aid the rescue.

Update 1000hrs: Good progress is being made in releasing the casualty. A crane is still in use removing roof sheeting and cladding from the flatbed lorry.

Final update 1010hrs: The casualty has now been released and is in care of the ambulance service. Fire crews are continuing to make the scene safe.
