Nr Iron Bridge, Camel Trail, 1 Mile from Wadebridge towards Bodmin at 30/06/2011 15:10

At 15:10 hrs a request by the RSPCA was made for the attendance of Cornwall Fire and Rescue to rescue a cow which had gotten stuck in the mud on the banks of the river Camel. Specialist animal rescue and water rescue equipment was mobilised to the incident, however with some encouragement from a Fire Officer the cow managed to scramble up the river bank, freeing itself of the mud and rising tide.
