Gorse Fire
Messack Point, St Just in Roseland at 04/07/2011 17:20
At 1358hrs the Service was called to a gorse fire at Messack point. Two appliances from St Mawes and one from Truro attended and used four main jets and two light portable pumps to extinguish. Access to the fire was very difficult and the inflatable rib from Falmouth assisted by transporting equipment to a nearby tug which was used as a platform to fight the fire from the side facing the sea.
