At 15:34 hrs today, one crew from St Dennis and one from St Austell were mobilised to a derelict building on fire on Drinnick Road, Nanpean. When crews arrived they found a single storey building, measuring 15 x 8 metres which was being used as a store. Fire crews used one hose reel and two breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire which was in the middle of the building. The fire had been extinguished by 16:01 hrs and a positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear smoke from the premise. This fire is believed to be arson and Cornwall and Devon Police have been informed.
