Ship Fire

Appliances from Falmouth, Truro and Camborne attended a report of a fire involving a ship in dry dock. Firefighters wearing five breathing apparatus and using one jet supplemented from a hydrant on the dockside extinguished the fire, which is believed to have started accidentally, where welding was taking place in the bulkhead. A thermal image camera was used to ensure the fire was out and the area was ventilated.

All appliances had returned to their home stations by approximately 1330 hours. There are no further details available regarding this incident.
