Barn Fire

Two fire appliances from Delabole, one fire appliance from Launceston and the water carrier from Wadebridge were mobilised to a report of a barn fire.

On arrival the fire crews were confronted with a barn on fire, measuring about 15 metres by 25 metres, containing farm machinery and a diesel tank. Further assistance was requested and a second fire appliance from Launceston was mobilised.

Firefighters are pumping from open water to extinguish the blaze and a foam branch is in use to deal with a running fuel fire.

Update 0330hrs: Two fire crews from Delabole and one fire crew from Launceston remain at the scene. A ground monitor is in use extinguishing the fire.

Update 0645hrs: Two fire crews from Delabole remain in attendance damping down using one hosereel. The cause of the fire is accidental.
