Carloggas to Penbeagle, St Austell at 27/07/2011 16:59

At 16:59 Cornwall Fire and Rescue received a call to a number of hedge fires in the St Stephen area of St Austell. A number of fires were reported in several areas and as a result crews from St Austell, St Dennis and St Columb were mobilised to search the area. Fire crews found a total of five seats of fire, on the road heading from Carloggas to Penbeagle. Fire crews used two hose reels to extinguish the fires. Fire Control informed Police on the initial call to the fires and Devon and Cornwall Police Officers responded to the incident. After some investigation Police Officers gained the details of two youths seen in the area setting fires. There are no more details available on this incident.
