At 1916hrs this evening the Fire Service was called to a 2m x 3m steel container containing agricultural chemicals on fire at a farm in St Keyne, near Liskeard. Hazardous materials were confirmed to be involved and the Fire Service responded with 5 pumps and a number of specialist Officers and ancillary appliances. Breathing apparatus and hosereels were used to extinguish the fire and a detailed assesment is now underway. **Further update at 2300 - A detailed assessment has now been carried out by crews using Gas Tight Suits and it can be confirmed that no major leaks have occured and that the chemicals involved have been held within the containers bunding. This report will be updated if further information becomes available.
