At 1846 the Fire Service were called to a house fire at Railway Terrace in Doublebois with persons reported within the property.
Two appliances from Liskeard, one appliance from Bodmin and a Wholetime Officer were mobilised to the incident.
On arrival the crews discovered a fire in an end terrace property with both floors involved. All persons were accounted fire prior to the arrival of the Fire Service, however, household animals were still within the building.
The crews used four breathing apparatus 2 hosereels to extinguish the fire, it was discovered that two dogs and four cats were deceased within the property.
The crews also used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear smoke from within the property.
The cause of the fire was accidental and believed caused by a chip pan.
Police and ambulance also attended the incident.
