Fire In Hallway of Block of Flats

Two fire appliances from Delabole and one fire appliance from Wadebridge were mobilised to a reports of a fire in the hallway of a block of flats.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hosereel to extinguish a small fire in a hallway on the second floor of the three-storey block of flats, measuring approximately 35 metres by 15 metres.
Four of the occupants suffered smoke inhalation, one of which was conveyed to hospital by ambulance. The others were treated at the scene.
Arson is suspected and a joint investigation by fire and police officers has commenced.
