One appliance from Camborne attended a report of a gorse fire on the cliffs at Basset Cove. Crews found a fire involving approximately one hundred square metres of high gorse. The fire was deep seated and firefighters used two hosereels and one jet to tackle the blaze. The area is expected to smoulder for some time but is being allowed to burn out. Crews were on scene until about 11.15 am. The area will be reinspected this afternoon.
