Bonfire Out of Control
Between Grampound Road and St Stephen, near St Austell at 18/08/2011 17:55
One fire appliance from St Austell, one fire appliance from St Dennis and the water carrier from Wadebridge attended an out of control bonfire, the smoke from which could be seen from several miles away.
Firefighters, some wearing breathing apparatus, used one jet to bring the fire under control by 2015hrs.
Fire crews remained on scene damping down for a further two hours.
