Caravan Fire

The Fire Service was called to a caravan on fire in the grounds of a property in Scorrier near Redruth.
Two appliances from Redruth and a further appliance from Camborne along with a Wholetime Officer was mobilised to the incident.
On arrival the crews found a caravan well alight and requested further appliances and western power to attend. Appliances from Camborne, Truro and a specialised appliance from Falmouth were mobilised to the incident, as well as an additional Wholetime Officer, in all 31 firefighters attended the fire.
The crews used 1 jet from a hydrant and 4 breathing apparatus to extinguish the caravan which also contained cylinders. The crews spent some time damping down.
