On receipt of calls received for this incident, appliances from St. Just and Penzance were mobilised, further resources were requested and an appliance from Camborne attended. The incident involves a building 12 metres by 12 metres, with the fire involving the ground floor, first floor and roof.

Update at 0130 hours: A total of six personnel wearing breathing apparatus are committed at the scene with other Fire and Rescue personnel assisting, three main jets also high pressure hosereels are in use at this time.

Update at 0230 hours: Good progress is being made, crews wearing breathing apparatus have withdrawn at this time, further crews are damping down hot spots. Western Power are in attendance isolating the supply to the premise.

Crews were delayed at the scene for a considerable time, the last appliances returning to home stations by approximately 0400 hours.

Arson is suspected for this incident. A Fire Investigation Team and colleagues from Devon & Cornwall Police will be attending later this morning.
