One appliance from Lostwithiel attended a fire involving a combine harvester. This was located in a field alongside the A390 West Taphouse. Firefighters wearing two breathing apparatus, found the engine compartment to be well alight, and extinguished the fire using two hose reels. Crews were delayed at the scene for some time damping down the engine bay.
