Matress Set Alight Against Door

At 03:18 hrs this morning a call to Cornwall Fire Control was received stating the rear of a property in Dobell road was on fire. Two fire crews from St Austell were mobilised to the terraced property. On crews arrival they discovered a mattress against the rear external door of the property on fire. Fire crews used one hose reel to extinguish the fire. Four breathing apparatus and a positive pressure ventilation fan were also used at this incident as the premise was heavily smoke logged. Police attended the incident.
