At 2119 hours Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service were called to a reported house fire. Two fire appliances from Newquay fire station attended the incident. The fire involving a wood burner was extinguished using four breathing apparatus sets, two hose reels and one jet. A positive pressure ventilation fan was then used to clear any remaining smoke from the building.
