Two appliances from Mevagissey attended a report of a fire involving a mattress inside a domestic garage, measuring approximately three metres by five metres. Firefighters wearing two breathing apparatus used one hose reel to extinguish the fire, which is believed to have been started deliberately. Police are dealing with any investigation.
