Two crews from Falmouth and Helston attended a call this morning to a fire in an extractor fan on the first floor of a terraced property. Fire crews used one hose reel and two breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire. A thermal imaging camera and a short extension ladder were also used to check the roof space of the property. One male casualty suffering smoke inhalation was treated on scene by Helston co-responders and later by Ambulance paramedics. Smoke was cleared from the property using a positive pressure ventilation fan.
