On the initial call for this incident, appliances from Redruth and Camborne were mobilised, on arrival at the scene smoke was issuing and the incident was made 'Persons Reported', further resources attended from Camborne and Falmouth, also the command unit from Truro and the operational support unit from Falmouth attended.
The fire involved a two storey building measuring eight by five metres, teams of firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used high pressure hosereels and a main jet, also the positive pressure ventilation fan at the scene. All persons were subsequently accounted for. Approximately forty Cornwall Fire & Rescue Personnel were at the scene also colleagues from Devon & Cornwall Police and West Country Ambulance Service. An internal team from Western Power were requested, they attended and disconnected power to the property.
Arson was suspected. A full fire investigation is to be undertaken.
