Due to adverse weather conditions, the Fire Service has attended isolated flooding incidents today. The Met Office issued an ‘Amber’ flood warning early this morning; Cornwall was due to expect 90-120mm of rain in six to nine hours.

Crews have attended incidents in Mevagissey, St Dennis and Bodmin. Crews used major pumps and smaller light portable pumps to move the water and prevent it entering properties

Cornwall Fire Service management have also attended command group meetings, along with Emergency Management to discuss priorities and the allocation of resources if needed, for optimum public safety
