At 2242 this evening the Fire Service was called to a house on fire with persons reported as trapped inside. Three appliances attended from Bude Fire Station. On arrival it was discovered that two police officers had entered the building and rescued one female prior to Fire Service arrival. Crews used six breathing apparatus, two hosereels and a covering jet to extinguish the fire in the porch area where an electrical appliance was suspected as the cause. Two adults were treated for the effects of smoke inhalation and handed to Westcountry Ambulance. These are all the details we have for this incident.
