On reports of a horse trapped in a ditch, appliances from Padstow and Bodmin, also the rope rescue tender from Bodmin were mobilised, on arrival the horse was found to be stuck in a ditch approximately five feet deep, lighting equipment was set up to assist the rescue and enable the crews to work safely, an attending vet sedated the horse and crews set up lifting gear and rescue slings and also with the help of a farmers digger rescued the horse, who was left in the hands of the attending vet.
