Chimney Fire

One appliance from Truro attended a reported chimney fire at a property in Playing Place. On arrival the crews found a gas fire had overheated and spread to the fire surround which had to be removed together with the gas fire. A gas engineer was requested to attend to ensure safe removal of the gas appliance. Firefighters used small tools, hearth kit and one hose reel to extinguish the fire.
