On receipt of this call, both appliances from Newquay were alerted, on arrival at the scene crews found the ground floor of a property smoke logged, further assistance was requested, and an appliance from St. Columb was mobilised. The fire involved a three storey building with the fire on the ground floor, teams of firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were committed using high pressure hosereels to extinguish the fire, the positive pressure fan was used to ventilate the premises. The cause was accidental.
