Car Down Steep Bank After Leaving Road

A38, Twowatersfoot, in the Glynn Valley between Liskeard and Bodmin at 08/01/2012 19:28

Following a 999 call reporting that a car had left the road and was down a steep bank with its lights still on, two fire appliances from Liskeard and two rescue tenders from Bodmin were mobilised, fearing that persons were trapped.

On arrival the fire crews were unable to find any occupants and a search of the immediate vicinity was conducted. Whilst the search was being carried out, the driver of the vehicle had contacted the police to confirm that they were safe and well and arranging recovery of the vehicle.

Firefighters made the vehicle safe before leaving the scene.
