At 1933 on the 12th January, Westcountry Ambulance Service requested the Fire and Rescue Service Co-responders from Helston Community Fire Station, to attend an elderly male with a medical emergency in Porthleven. The nearest ambulance being in Penzance, the Fire Service's Co-responder unit attended with 2 crew and remained with the patient until the ambulance arrived.
