Two appliances from Penzance were mobilised on receipt of this call. On arrival it was found to be a shed measuring 7 x 5 metres which was well alight and involved oxyacetylene cylinders, there was one large explosion, a water carrier was requested for the incident, the crews stayed in a defensive position and used a water jet to extinguish the fire and cool the cylinders. Crews remained at the scene for some time, finally returning to their home stations at approximately 2000 hours.
