One fire appliance from Liskeard Community Fire Station attended a report of a gas leak within a property. The occupants were advised to isolate the gas supply at the meter and to open windows and doors to ventilate the property before leaving.

On arrival the crew of six firefighters assisted the occupants by arranging for a gas engineer to attend and also for ambulance personnel to treat them for the effects of inhaling the gas.

Within an hour the gas engineer had fixed the leak, the property had been ventilated and following their treatment by paramedics, the occupants were allowed back into their home.
