Two fire appliances from Redruth Community Fire Station and one fire appliance from Camborne Community Fire Station (total of 15 crew) attended a report from Cornwall Lifeline of someone shouting into their intercom that there was a fire in a flat.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the heavily smoke-logged flat to find a pan of fat that had been on fire, was now out. The occupant was suffering smoke inhalation and was cared for by firefighters until the arrival of an ambulance.
