At 1754hrs this evening the Fire Service was called to a report of fire in a flat in Chynance, Portreath near Redruth. Crews from Camborne and Redruth attended and extinguished a fire in a ground floor flat using two breathing apparatus and one hosereel. The cause of the fire is believed to have been as a result of clothes left too close to a cooker.
