On receipt of this call stating that a commercial boiler was on fire, appliances from Delabole and Launceston were mobilised. On arrival crews found that the fire was confined to the hopper of the boiler, firefighters wore breathing apparatus at the scene, and crew used ladders, high pressure hosereel and small gear at the scene to extinguish the fire. The cause was accidental. Crews were delayed for a considerable time, the last appliances returning at approximately 1500 hours.
