On receipt of this call, two appliances and the aerial ladder platform were mobilised to the incident, on arrival there were persons reported and a third pumping appliance (which came from Redruth) was requested. The fire was on the first floor of a three storey building which was divided into flats. At one stage six firefighters wearing breathing apparatus using a jet and hosereels, all persons were accounted for, one person was treated by ambulance crews for smoke inhilation. The fire was extinguished at approximately 0400 hours, crews remained at the scene for a time damping down and assessing the area, crews returning to home station at approximately 0530 hours.
