At 1247 hours this afternoon two fire appliances from St Ives fire station responded to a reported gorse fire.
The crews dealt with a large area measuring approximately five hectares using two high pressure hosereel jets and beaters. Crews were detained for a considerable time, the last appliance returning at 1700 hours. The cause was accidental.
