On receipt of a call stating that controlled burning had got out of control, one appliance was mobilised from Penzance, on arrival the crew found an area of gorse covering several hundred metres alight, further personnel were required and a crew from St. Ives were alerted.
Update at 1430 hours: A total of nine personnel are dealing with approximately eight hectares of gorse, the crew are using beaters and back burning at this time.
