On receipt of this call, one appliance from Penzance was mobilised, on arrival further appliances from Penzance were requested. Cornwall Fire & Rescue personnel are currently dealing with approximately 25 tons of rubbish which is alight and the fire is deep seated, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are committed at the scene, there are two main jets in use. Further updates as and when received.

Update 0100 hours: The fire has now been extinguished, crews are making up equipment and will soon be returning to their home station.
