Crews from Penzance, St Ives, St Just, and Helston (a total of 29 firefighters) are attending two areas of gorse fire which is being fanned by high winds, crews are tackling the blaze using hosereels and beaters. Update at 0600: All appliances have now returned from this incident. At its height, the fire was over a 1000m front. One jet, one hosereel and beaters were used to extinguish the fire. The fire is believed to be arson and the police have been informed. There is no further information to report.
