Four appliances and a Landrover were sent from St Columbs,St Dennis,Wadebridge and Bodmin Stations after numerous calls to a large area of gorse on fire.
On arrival crews confirmed that 1 Hectare of gorse was alight and started to used hose reels and beaters. The cause is believed to be arson and the Police have also attended.

Update at 22:50

Twenty eight firefighters are currently using hose reels and beaters to extinguish the flames.

Update at 23:22. This incident has now finished and all appliances have left the scene.
