Two fire appliances from Delabole, two fire appliances from Wadebridge and one fire appliance from Bodmin Community Fire Station are in attendance at a fire involving a roof of a detached bungalow, measuring 10 metres by 10 metres. Some of the firefighters are wearing breathing apparatus and hosereels are in use to bring the blaze under control.
The road has been closed to allow the firefighters to safely carry out their work.
Update 1430hrs: Firefighters wearing six sets of breathing apparatus and using one jet and two hosereels supplied from two fire hydrants are attacking a fully developed fire in the roof space of the bungalow.
Update at 1530: Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are still committed and are using two main jets and two high pressure hosereels and the thermal image camera at the scene are also undertaking internal salvage work at this time.
Update at 1630 hours: The incident is being scaleD down at this time, only crews from Delabole will remain in attendance damping down hot spots.
