Sheep Rescued From Quarry Ledge

Cheesewring quarry, Minions at 28/03/2012 11:12

Ten crew from Bodmin attended a call to two sheep stuck on a 20 foot high ledge in the Cheesewring quarry at Minions. A specialised line rescue tender from Bodmin and a land rover attended the scene alongside a technical rescue officer. Two firefighters were lowered down the quarry face to the animals using a safety at height and confined spaces pack. Both sheep were successfully rescued from the ledge and released back on to the moor.
