Two fire appliances from St Columb Community Fire Station with a total crew of eight firefighters attended a fire involving about 150 square metres of gorse. The fire which had a 200 metre front was extinguished by 2110hrs using beaters and one hosereel.

Arson is suspected and Devon & Cornwall Police have been informed.
