A38 Carminnow, Bodmin at 04/04/2012 11:00

On receipt of this call, stating that persons were trapped, one appliance and the rescue tender from Bodmin were mobilised, on arrival there were found to be five cars and a lorry involved, there were persons confirmed trapped, further resources were requested and appliances from Bodmin, Lostwithiel and St. Austell attended. A total of twenty five personnel are in attendance with colleagues from Devon & Cornwall Police and South West Ambulance. Fire personnel used crash rescue equipment at the scene to release three casualties into the care of ambulance personnel, crews were delayed making the scene and area safe.
