On receipt of this call, Redruth were mobilised, on arrival the crew were faced with a very large pile of cut logs alight, with the fire being deep seated, additional resources were requested and an appliance and water carrier from Helston were mobilised. Crews are using a main jet and two high pressure hosereel jets to extinguish the fire.

Update at 0500 hours: A mechanical digger is now on site and assisting crews by removing areas of logs.

Update at 0600 hours: Crews are continuing to make good progress but will be delayed for a considerable time.

Update at 0730 hours: Crews are making slow progress at this time and are awaiting heavy handling equipment to assist at the incident.
