Fire Involving Battery
Hugh Street, St Mary's, Isles of Scilly at 11/04/2012 14:30
Two fire appliances from St Mary's Fire Station attended a report of a smell of burning in a bank. The firefighters inspected and found that an auxiliary battery in the fire alarm panel had overheated a burnt out causing the smell. The fire crews made the scene safe and the system left for an engineer to repair.
