One crew of six from Liskeard attended a call to a dog which had been washed down the river at Golitha falls. Luckily Archie the Jack Russell had managed to scramble on to a rock in the middle of the river. One firefighter entered the river wearing a dry suit and waded two metres from the river bank and plucked Archie from the rock he was stranded from. Archie was returned to his grateful owner waiting on the river bank.
