At 21:30 hrs two crews with 8 Firefighters from Redruth and one crew of six from Camborne were mobilised to a property fire on Fords Row, Redruth. On crews arrival the property had smoke issuing and crews tackled the fire in the single storey domestic dwelling using two breathing apparatus, one main jet supplied from a hydrant and a hose reel. At 21:51 crews had four breathing apparatus were in use and smoke was issuing from a third floor from under its roof tiles. Crews requested ‘Make Pumps Three’. Crews rescued one dog from an adjacent flat. Crews used small tools to cut away and make entry to the roof externally to ensure the fire was completely extinguished.

There will be a fire investigation carried out at this premise in the morning by Fire Officers.
