Derelict Factory Fire

The Fire Service received a call to a fire in a derelict factory in Tuckingmill near Camborne.
Two appliances from Camborne and a Wholetime officer were mobilised to the incident.
On arrival crews found a small fire involving rubbish within a single storey warehouse 20 metres by 40 metres. Crew used bolt cropper and crash rescue equipment to force entry into the area of the warehouse and two breathing apparatus and one hose reel to extinguish the fire.
On extinguishing the fire a positive pressure ventilation fan was deployed to clear smoke from the property so a further extensive search could be undertaken of the warehouse.
The police were also requested as early indications were this was arson.
