At 0833hrs this morning two fire appliances from St Austell were mobilised to a call from an address in Trewoon reporting sparks coming from the washing machine. On arrival crews found a small fire involving internal domestic electrical wiring, they wore breathing apparatus to disconnect and then safely remove the washing machine outside.
The cause was accidental.
