At 0255 hrs this morning CFRS received a number of calls to a reported unknown fire. 2 appliances from Penzance were initially sent to investigate. On arrival of the first appliance it was found to be a 2 storey barn 15 metres by 10metres well alight.
A further appliance from St Just also assisted in fire fighting. The fire was extinguished using 2 hose reels and initially 1 jet from water from adjacent swimming pool 4 fire-fighters wore breathing apparatus. Fire-fighters are still on scene damping down at this time. No further information is available at this time.
